| last week, a juvenile sunbird fell out of somewhere and landed right at the feet of Wan Hui. She promptly asked me if I wanted to rescue it and went to look for the uncle who kept birds. When she came back without him, I took out a rather large serviette (from the last time we were at Halia) and picked up the bitty thing (was almost afraid I would crush it). We found it a box where we put some banana and water and while we were thinking what to do with it, he suddenly flew and perched on the ledge of the box. 2 of us screamed and another 2 ran out of the pantry and shut the door tight. It was rather funny episode. Bird was of course the most excited and kept trying to communicate with it, no doubt to reassure it. We coaxed the bird back into the box and put the lid on and punched some holes in it (meanwhile sustaining a cut and a stab). We eventually released it and commenced to have a minute of silence at it's departure from us. |

| I love to cycle. Feel the wind in your hair and face. Almost like flying I think and you get somewhere. I know swinging is like flying too though you don't get far, it's the novelty of getting up in the air. I'm not too good at cycling though, rather unstable and can't really turn corners. I guess when someone's not too sure about doing something, they feel that they need more attention and care. It helps that the whole world knows their shortcomings. So it doesn't really help if they're left alone. Tiring and scary. Next time I will ensure that I go with people who bother. |
